What does company value mean?
The company value represents the total value of all stocks issued by a corporation. It can be used to compare companies in terms of their size or aggregate stock market value. It’s calculated by multiplying the total number of stocks in a company by the respective stock price.
What is the price-earnings ratio?
The P/E ratio, short for price-earnings ratio, is a ratio that allows you to determine the profitability of a company or a stock. It determines the relationship between a stock, its price and the profit. The rule of thumb is the lower the P/E ratio, the more favorable the stock price.
What is the dividend yield?
This is the dividend yield of the company. The ratio is expressed as a percentage value. It is calculated as the ratio of the dividend to the current stock price. However, it’s not a "promise of payment" for future earnings.
What does dividends per share mean?
This is the absolute amount paid to shareholders for the specified date. Dividends can be paid on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
What is the price-to-earnings ratio?
The price-to-earnings ratio is defined as the company’s share price divided by the earnings per share and allows you to measure an assessment of the company’s stock market valuation based on its earnings.
