In just a few steps, you can place an order to buy or sell a security via the mobile app. Choose between the following orders: market, limit, or stop.
To place an order from the mobile app:
- From Wealth or Cash, tap Browse in the bottom left corner
- Browse top movers, trends in your country, Trending topics, or use the search function at the bottom to find a stock, ETF, crypto, bonds or derivative
- Tap on the asset/security you want to invest in to view all relevant information about the security, including the current price and historical price trends
- If you want to buy a security, make sure you have the funds in Cash or transfer the amount to your cash account
- At the bottom, select Save to create a savings plan or Buy and select an order type
- Depending on the order type, enter an amount (€), number of shares, or your limit or stop price:
Amount: Market order to trade at the current market price based on a set amount
Shares: Market order to trade at the current market price based on a set number of shares
Limit: Trade securities at a set limit price or better
Stop: Trigger a market order at a set stop price
- Tap Next
- Select a payment method (credit card, Apple or Google Pay, or bank transfer)
- Tap Done
- If you already own a security and want to sell it, you can select it from your portfolio and tap Trade. This will display both options Buy and Sell. To sell it, simply select the order type and confirm in the next step by clicking Sell.
You’ll see Order created successfully once your order has been placed. To check the status of your orders, go to Wealth > scroll down to Orders & Insights > tap the Orders tile. If an order hasn’t been executed yet, you can delete your order.
Click on Order manager in the top right corner to review or edit your orders or savings plans.
IMPORTANT: When you create an order to trade certain instruments for the first time (E.g. complex ETFs, derivatives and bonds), you will be asked about your experience with such instrument -in years and number of trades- as well as a couple of questions to assess your level of knowledge about specific features of the product.
In case you don't have sufficient experience or knowledge, you are still able to trade the instrument, but will see a warning message that you need to acknowledge before proceeding.
You can restart the experience and knowledge questions by clicking the highlighted text in the warning message and click the Retake button.
As a retail client, you need to take the Product Knowledge Test to help us determine which products are appropriate for you, in line with current regulations.
