We protect your account in a few ways:
PIN (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER):
- You'll need your 4-digit PIN to log into the app in addition to your mobile phone number (your user name)
- For login issues, we'll send you a confirmation code via push notification to reset your PIN
LOCK FEATURES:
- Your phone has a PIN, pattern, face, or fingerprint recognition lock, which must be unlocked in order to gain access to the apps on your phone.
- Your Trade Republic app also has a 4-digit PIN or face/fingerprint recognition, which is mandatory for a login.
If you forgot your PIN, you can reset it following these steps:
If you are trying from the same device you normally use
- Delete the app and reinstall it afterwards.
- Log in with your cell phone number.
- Click on 'Forgot PIN?'
- Click 'Yes'
- Go to your email to confirm PIN reset
- Add the last four digits of the document number you used during the registration
- Create and confirm your new PIN
Please notice that to confirm the change via email, you need to be the same device you requested to change the PIN and that the link is available for 60 minutes.
If you want or need to pair a new device too:
- Delete the app and reinstall it afterwards.
- Log in with your cell phone number
- Click on Forgot PIN?
- Click Yes
- You will be prompted to verify your identity. Please have your ID document to hand
- Create and confirm your new PIN
- You'll be asked if you want to update the phone number too; you can click No if it’s only the PIN you forgot.
If you have a new phone number, you'll need to update your phone number in the app before logging in.
