Standard PEA

The Plan d’Épargne en Actions (PEA) is a government-approved investment account designed to encourage long-term savings in eligible stocks and ETFs. It offers unique tax advantages:

  • Tax benefits: Gains and dividends within the PEA are exempt from income tax after five years, provided you fulfill all PEA account requirements. Social contributions (17,2 %) still apply and are due upon withdrawal.

  • Investment flexibility: You can invest in a wide range of PEA-eligible stocks and ETFs that meet regulatory criteria.

  • Contribution limits: The PEA has a maximum pay-in limit of 150.000,00 €.

Upon account opening, Trade Republic automatically tops up your PEA with 1 € to immediately initiate the 5-year period required to qualify for tax advantages.

PEA Jeune

The Plan d’Épargne en Actions (PEA) Jeune is a government-approved investment account designed to encourage young investors between 18-25 years old to start long-term savings in eligible stocks and ETFs. It offers unique tax advantages:

  • Tax benefits: Gains and dividends within the PEA are exempt from income tax after five years, provided you fulfill all PEA account requirements. Social contributions (17,2 %) still apply and are due upon withdrawal. You can find more information on taxation here.

  • Investment flexibility: You can invest in a wide range of PEA-eligible stocks and ETFs that meet regulatory criteria.

  • Contribution limits: The PEA Jeune has a maximum pay-in limit of 20.000,00 €.

  • Eligibility: Available for young investors between 18-25 years who are still associated with their parents' tax household.

Upon account opening, Trade Republic automatically tops up your PEA with 1 € to immediately initiate the 5-year period required to qualify for tax advantages.

You can Upgrade your PEA Jeune to a Standard PEA as soon as you’re no longer associated with your parents' tax household or turn 25.

Upgrade PEA Jeune

To Upgrade your PEA Jeune to a Standard PEA, you need to add your personal tax ID, which must not be associated with your family tax household.

We will upgrade your account so you can use the maximum pay-in limit of 150,000.00 €.
